Robbie Antonio has been referred to as "Asia's youngest real estate tycoon" and by Forbes Asia as the “Liaison to the Stars”. As an international real estate developer with 45 million square feet of developed/managed property, Mr. Antonio is a business visionary, design and architecture aficionado, brand savant and fashion icon that is transforming Asia. He is bringing global fashion houses, Hollywood A-list, prominent architects, and the most iconic real estate brands to the Philippines for exclusive luxury projects that are changing Manila's skyline. Mr. Antonio is a tastemaker combining his love of art, architecture, fashion, design, and real estate to create uniquely branded residential buildings throughout Asia and in the United States.
Mr. Antonio is Managing Director and second generation owner of Century Properties founded in 1986. The company is majority owned by one of Asia's most respected real estate families, the Antonios --- with a business empire that includes distributorship of Lear Jet Planes, Bell Helicopters, BMW and ownership in one of the world's largest fertilizer companies.
In 2011, Mr. Antonio personally conceptualized, negotiated, sourced and launched projects in Manila with lifestyle game-changers including Donald Trump for Trump Tower Manila™, the tallest building in the Philippines, and Paris Hilton for the Paris Beach Club at Azure Urban Resort Residences, the American celebrity and businesswoman's first real estate venture.
Mr. Antonio is also responsible for a number of unique fashion-branded real estate developments. His recent feats include The Milano Residences in partnership with Versace, the fastest-selling Versace Home interior-designed condominium project in the world and the first in Southeast Asia, and a collaboration with MISSONIHOME for the brand's first residential development in the world. Mr. Antonio will be launching another tower with a significant fashion brand by the end of 2012, making him the developer with the most fashion branded collaborations in the world. In 2012, Mr. Antonio announced plans to launch a residential project in partnership with Yoo - the interior design company founded by one of the most celebrated and revered living designer, Philippe Starck.
With a passion for architecture, Mr. Antonio has also formed a number of collaborations with high-profile architects including Pritzker Prize Award winners Rem Koolhaas and I.M. Pei along with Daniel Libeskind, the master planner of the Ground Zero site in New York. Mr. Koolhaas is currently designing a project with Mr. Antonio which will be the first Pritzker Prize-designed project in the Philippines and unveiled in 2013; and Mr. Libeskind is designing an iconic residential project for Century Properties that will be announced late 2012.
In 2005, Mr. Antonio founded the company's New York-based international arm, Antonio Development, and collaborated with I.M Pei, best known for his design of the Louvre Museum, and Pei Partnership to build and design The Centurion. It was Mr. Pei's first ground-up residential project in the world. An exquisite luxury condominium, The Centurion achieved an average sales price close to approximately $3,000 per-square-foot, one of the highest in New York City.
Mr. Antonio is also passionate about giving back. He serves as a board member for Operation Smile, a medical charity that provides surgical care to children around the world, where he chairs the development committee. Also of note is his membership on the board of the Marina Abramovic Institute for the Preservation of Performance Art located in Hudson, New York.
